The Dunes fairways are parkland style, and the course is a par 72 that plays to a maximum distance of 6,911 yards.

The Shore Course first opened for play in 1961. The course was designed by designed by Robert Baldock and Jack Neville. Reconstruction of the Shore Course began in February 2003, and the new course was opened in June 2004. The redesign was done by golf course architect Mike Strantz.

The Shore Course is a links-type golf course built on the Club's pristine oceanside property. The Shore Course measures 6,940 yards; the par is 72 playing to a slope of 133.

The Crosby Pro-Am was played on Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Dunes Course for 18 consecutive years beginning in 1947, then shifted to the Shore Course in 1965 and 1966. In 1967, the tournament was moved to Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

The Crosby later returned to MPCC in 1977. In 2010, the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will include Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course in its rotation, along with Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

This was a special experience. Loved the 14th hole across 17 Mile Drive with a big audience! And lunch after the 10th hole. Many holes were serious challenges so not great for a handicapper much worse than me at 16.

Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Expensive, but not worth it

Absolutely Stunning. The overall condition of the course was outstanding. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Monterey Peninsula's Dunes Course is one of the best courses in the Pebble Beach/Monterey Peninsula area. It definitely doesn't get the praise it deserves due to the better known courses in the area and MPCC's Shore course being used in the AT&T. It has been updated since it's Reese Jones remodel, and is always in good to great shape. It's simply a great course.

Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area

Seth Raynor, original course architect, opened in the 1920's, redesigned in late 1990's, fantastic links/parkland combination course, opens in the forest and goes out to the pacific ocean and returns. Can play over 7,000 yards from gold tees. Private but available through guest of a member in the afternoons, $330 green fee includes cart and fore-caddie required. Walking with Caddy recommended.

Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
